The CHPS Criteria (formerly Volume 3 of the CHPS Best Practices Manual) are a flexible yardstick that precisely defines a high performance school. The criteria address site and materials selection, energy and water efficiency, indoor environmental quality and provides sustainable policies and innovations that can be adopted by schools and districts.

CHPS is currently developing an Operations Report Card for existing schools. This online tool will assist facilities managers in identifying and prioritizing problem areas in their schools, and is intended to help all schools improve their performance.
