About the Presenters Walter Dansby Fort Worth Independent School District Deputy Superintendent, Capital Improvement Program Mr. Dansby provides leadership to effectively and efficiently accomplish the capital improvement plans of the District. He was instrumental in managing the bond project that resulted in the Fort Worth community voters overwhelmingly approving a $593.6 million bond issue for the FWISD. The bond funds will be used to renovate aging facilities, add classrooms, and build new schools in the Fort Worth ISD. A native of Fort Worth, Mr. Dansby graduated from Dunbar High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and his Masters degree in Education from Tarleton State University. Walter Dansby began his career in the Fort Worth Independent School District thirty-five years ago as a history teacher and coach at Rosemont Middle School. Walter Dansby is a result-oriented individual who consistently sets and meets demanding goals in all areas of personal and professional endeavors. He and his wife, Sharon, have two daughters: Marsha and Leigh Ann. William "Bill" Orr, C.E.G. CHPS Executive Director William "Bill" Orr joined the CHPS staff in July 2009, after working for the state of California for almost thirty years. For a majority of career in state government, Bill worked for the California Integrated Waste Management Board where he managed their Green Building Program from 2000-2007. On the CHPS Board from 2002 to 2007, Bill was the head of the CHPS Technical Committee from its inception through 2007. During that time, he led the development of the 2006 Edition of the CHPS Criteria for California. Bill was on the national LEED for Schools committee. Bill is a registered Engineering Geologist in California. Ed Wansing CHPS Technical Programs Coordinator Ed has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kansas State University. He is the Emerging Green Builders National Committee Chairman and is a member of the Middle Tennessee USGBC board of directors. Ed joins the CHPS team to champion and run the CHPS Verified program and to support the CHPS Technical Committee. Dennis Womack Lovejoy Independent School District Assistant Superintendent for Operations Dennis Womack has been in Lovejoy ISD for the past five years and prior to Lovejoy was the Assistant Superintendent of Plant Management for McKinney ISD. For over the past ten years, Dennis has worked with architects and contractors to build and renovate school facilities in north Texas. As the Assistant Superintendent for Operations, Dennis is responsible for Technology and Facilities, as well as Maintenance and Transportation. His responsibilities include planning and execution of building projects, building upkeep, transportation equipment and procedures, security and crisis management, administration of technology and maintenance personnel, and technology infrastructure including phones and network operations. Dennis works with principals, C&I, the Superintendent and other administrative staff to support effective use of technology in the classroom, to insure all children are transported safely, and that students learn in a safe and healthy environment. Dennis holds a B.A. in Business Administration and a M.A. in Education from Austin College, Sherman, TX, and is currently completing his doctorate in Education Administration from the University of North Texas. The general parking lot is located on the westbound Woodall Rodgers Freeway service road between Harwood and St. Paul. There is limited parking available in front of the building. Parking is also available in the lot behind the Chase Bank building, accessible from Harwood Street. Paid parking garages within walking distance are at the Advancial Building (325 N. St. Paul) and the Crescent Court (Pearl and McKinney).
